kevin arrowsmith photography is based at the cairn house gallery in the village of Durness, the most North Westerly community on mainland Britain. Being closer to Norway than London, dark skies and the occasional Aurora (Northern Lights) in winter contrast with seemingly endlessly long summer days. All this provides me with the inspiration and challenge to capture the uniqueness of this place in images. You can purchase a selection of my work online or visit us in person - see the 'cairn house gallery' page and you can also see additional images on my RPS profile page by clicking on the RPS logo above
Photography at it's best"The photographs of the local scenery were amazing, Seascapes , landscapes and best of all aurora borealis captured over Balnakeil house. A lovely modern fresh gallery overlooking the coast . Beautiful !"
Stunning Photography"If you are visiting Durness a stop at the Cairn House Gallery is a must. A friendly welcome and the chance to see some stunning photographs of the amazing scenery - some of which is hidden from view. Well worth a visit, I have returned several times and am still always spoilt for choice. A truly talented photographer."
